What's New?

The latest Jeep Cherokee introduces a new trim level to the consumer. The Latitude Lux trim is a new trim that is available as a mid-range trim that delicately balances the base model's features with some of the enhancements of the highest trims. Also, there is a brand new 80th Anniversary Edition trim that makes its debut. The 80th Anniversary trim is met with limited production that creates further demand due to its combinations of color, features, and off-road power. Further, some of the driver aids that were once considered optional on previous years' models are now introduced in the model as standard.

Performance

The new 2023 Jeep Cherokee comes available in three engine sizes. One of the engines available is the 2.0L Turbo engine. The 2.0L garners an impressive 270 hp with 295 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly between gears. It can safely tow up to 4,000 pounds. The new engine gets about 23 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway. Jeep offers a 2.4L Tigershark Multiair 2 engine this year. The 2.4L engine provides a dual variable valve timing. Also, it has a flow-control valve intake manifold. The new engine is teamed with a nine-speed automatic transmission that can get up to 474 total highway miles on a full gas tank. The third available engine is the 3.2L Pentastar® V6 engine. The 3.2L V6 has the capability to turn off the engine when the 2023 Jeep Cherokee is at a complete stop, such as at red lights, which improves fuel efficiency. Also, it has a maximum towing capacity of 4,500 pounds and can get about 29 MPG on the highway.

Safety

One of the standard safety features is blind-spot monitoring with rear-cross traffic alerts. The combination will safely notify the driver of a rear approaching vehicle to prevent crossing into another driving lane while the lane is occupied. There is a standard forward-collision warning system that notifies the driver of a head-on collision potential. The 2023 Jeep Cherokee's brakes may activate with its active braking system to prevent a crash. Also, electronic stability control is standard too.

Technology

The new Jeep Cherokee has an infotainment system that works well with smartphone integration, such as Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™. SiriusXM® Guardian allows the driver to lock and unlock doors, remotely start the new Jeep Cherokee, and activate the horn when needed. Also, a vehicle health report is available with safe, reliable and built-in WiFi.
